SISS (Shine Ink Supply System) for Canon is specially designed to utilize Ink Tank and Shelf Ink Tank, so the ink will not flow into the internal cartridge unless there is a demand from the printer in the form of head cleaning as well as print job. This is a special characteristic which the ordinary bottle infusion system lacks.

Canon printer of recent types implements cartridge which is merged with the print head; consequently, any modification using the ordinary infusion system will lead to ink leak, or even ink flood, inside the printer. However, as SISS of Shine Ink utilizes Shelf Ink Tank and Ink Tank which can prevent the uncontrollable ink flow, we can successfully implement SISS for Canon printer.
